#456: I have an award winning work, will the design award cover the cost of my international patent application?

A' Design Award absolutely does not cover any type of patent application costs, you are solely responsible for your patent application. We advise always to have a patent before nominating a work to ensure that your work stays patentable, statutory or patent-eligible. Patents are important but can also be very costly, for this reason if you are unable to get a patent, you could use our proof of creation service, but this service is not a patent, and it cannot protect your interests as a patent does, the proof of creation document is just to help demonstrate that you were the creator of a design; or that you had the knowledge of a design at a particular date.
