#493: I need to send an item back, what do I write as its value?
Most important thing is to write out that you are returning the item, explicitly in the return papers, you should indicate to your courier that you are sending items back to where you got them; you must state it with capital letters that your parcel is NOT COMMERCIAL SHIPMENT - RETURNED ITEM. You may write a sentence such as RETURNED UNWANTED ITALIAN MERCHANDISE, and Returned Item, this is very important to ensure your product is not subject to custom duties or return taxes once again when it arrives back to Italy. If an item you return becomes subject to return duties due to your negligence of not indicating you are returning the products, customs will charge it again for custom duties, it will further stuck in customs, and we will either not accept the item back or we might pay the duties and request you to pay for the custom duties. For values, please contact us so we could point you towards the right amount.
