#431: I have just become aware of your awards and wish to enter - most likely in a specialized category. Am I correct in saying the next time this will be awarded is in next year?

You are mostly right. The design award is organized annually, therefore the results are normally announced once a year, however there are several things that you would be happy to know. First of all, an express evaluation and judging service is available for participants who do not wish to wait a whole year. Furthermore, there are three entry periods, and it is more economic to enter the competition earlier as entry fees are higher at late entry periods. Finally, entering earlier is useful because you could get a free preliminary score; once you upload your design, you can get a free preliminary score that hints you your changes of winning the design award, furthermore during preliminary score phase we also provide participants suggestions on how to improve their entries. In summary, it is a good idea to submit your design and nominate it earlier.
