#346: Why the nomination fees differentiate based on entry period.
There are 3 major entry deadlines which are classified as Early, Standard and Late. When deadlines change, the price changes. It costs less to submit earlier since this allows and provides us more time to process your nomination as well as to be prepared for its eventual awarding such as by pre-ordering merchandise, packaging and relevant materials. We calculate and estimate a percentage of the entries to be winners so we plan ahead by procuring services, ordering products or necessary items in advance. By having more early entries our institution is also able to balance the flow of payments, decrease cost on purchases by having flexible time frames, and we reflect these cost reductions to the nominations and make a discount for people who join early. Likewise for the late entries, it becomes expensive for us to make last minute orders for trophies, or other materials which increases our costs and we unfortunately have to reflect this on nomination as well, thus we suggest all participants to join as early as possible.
