Yoshitaka Uchino, the lead designer of the winning design Solaia explains “Yoshitaka Uchino designs spaces where people feel natures such as light, wind, and rain. Inspired by architectures in the world,he intends to design spaces of plaza with nature. This apartment holds a court softly articulated it from the trees nearby by louvers. This court functions as a plaza, and stairs in the court functions as a street.
