Relativity might be the solution to the annoyance of having a time perception that does not fit the physical world. This machine adjusts time perception of the user through a method related to hypnosis. The clock on the machine is driven by a stirling engine at an unstable speed according to the unstable heat of the fire source, making a series of metal clinking sound to reset the time perception of the user and give a more proper one. Thus, the user can have a sense of time that fits the current scenario.

Liang-jiun Chiu is a designer interested in how to arouse people's reflection for philosophy and social issues. He believes that design is about not only problem-solving but other certain purpose such as making people rethink about the things they take for granted. As a steampunk follower, Chiu is expert in using the motion of mechanism on objects.

DC Design Studio is a Taipei based art and design studio formed to probe the possibilities of society, technology and life philosophy to create illuminating and innovating objects. The studio was founded by Liang-jiun Chiu a.k.a. Diao Chiu in 2016. They produce products, artworks, designs, installations and interactive devices in a radical and progressive way to arouse reflections of the users or viewers.
