Since its establishment in 1951, the United Nations Post Office has issued more than 1,000 stamps. Since 2010, the United Nations Postal Administration has issued zodiac stamps with the theme of Chinese Lunar New Year. 2023 is the Chinese Lunar New Year, Year of the Rabbit, and this stamp is the Year of the Rabbit stamp of the United Nations Zodiac, which goes beyond the boundaries of philately and draws attention to major world issues.
Tiger Pan, renowned designer and founder of Tiger Pan Design Lab, currently serves as the Jury President for D&AD 2024 in Packaging Design. He is also a contracted artist for the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA), a collaborative artist with the United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), a partner artist with the Liechtenstein Postal Service, and a co-branded artist with BVLGARI. Additionally, he holds the role of Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Illustration Association and serves as a guest professor at 18 prestigious design academies across China. Over the past 28 years, Tiger Pan has been deeply engaged in product and packaging design research and practice. His team is now regarded as one of the most dynamic and influential forces in contemporary design.
The United Nations Postal Administration is the postal administration of the United Nations. On January 21, 2022, the United Nations Postal Administration issued a special edition of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Tiger in New York to celebrate the arrival of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The United Nations Postal Administration first issued stamps featuring the Chinese zodiac in May 2010, and the first 12 zodiac stamps have been issued by 2021, and the second round of zodiac stamps will be issued by the Year of the Tiger in 2022.
