New Hanoi Arts House Public Artwork

The New Hanoi Arts House reflects the murals, paintings and images of public artworks designed by Thu Thuy since 2006. Murals featuring flora and fauna are on the first two floors. Photography highlighting Thu Thuy’s past public artworks line the stairwell. A mirror room on the fifth floor, designed by Thu Thuy and Mike Savad combine graphic imagery with an iconic symbol of Vietnam. Even the outdoor balcony serves as a flower garden. Entrance is free of charge.

Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy

Nguyen Thu Thuy is a visual artist who is based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Born in 1971, she is the general director of New Hanoi Arts Co., Ltd. She is the mastermind and lead designer of the Hanoi Ceramic Mural (HCM) project, which won the Guinness World Records in 2010. Thu Thuy continues to develop other public arts projects throughout Vietnam and internationally. Her artwork can be seen in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Truong Sa, Da Nang (Vietnam) and Choisy le Roi (France). In April 2018 she won a Silver A’Design Award for the Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mirror House and became member of the International Association of Designers in 2019.

New Hanoi Arts Co.,Ltd

New Hanoi Arts Co.,Ltd was established in October 2007 by visual artist Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy to accomplish the Public Arts projects for the city. From 2007 to 2010, Thu Thuy and New Hanoi Arts company completed the Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural, which won the Guinness World Record for the largest ceramic mosaic in the world and continues to hold this title. After the world famous HCMC project, Thu Thuy continued to develop other public arts projects throughout Vietnam and internationally. Her artwork can be seen in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Truong Sa, Da Nang (Vietnam) and Choisy le Roi (France). In April 2018 Thu Thuy and New Hanoi Arts Company won a Silver A’Design Award for the Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mirror House. In April 2019 Thu Thuy and New Hanoi Arts Company won a Golden A'Design Award for the Twin Lotus murals in Noi Bai International Airport. In June 2018 and 2019 Thu Thuy attended the Award ceremony sponsored by the A’Design Award in Como, Italy; photobook and posters displayed in the Exhibition of Design winners in the Museum of Design MOOD in Como.
