#424: Why there are so many winners?
Instead of giving 5-10 awards each year; a platinum, a gold, a silver, a bronze and an iron plus a few honourable mentions, the A' Design Award system is based on awarding a percentage of submissions, so top 1% for example is a platinum design award winner, and this implies that if there are thousand entries there would be not 1 but about 10 platinum award winners, furthermore, we also put a threshold mechanism that could result in skewing the distribution, the mechanism ensures that after a certain quality level the entries are not awarded regardless if they are in top 20% which is our regular limit for iron award entries.
