Her structured wool knitted garments won the Best Use of Australian Merino Wool Award sponsored by The Woolmark Company in 2014. Ng presented the use of wool through different methods in her FW2014 womenswear collection. Giving off a new definition of knitwear.
NG majored in knitwear and started the initial job in knitting and combining woven parts. Later, Ng was also passionate about woven design. In 2015, she produced a menswear collection which was also shortlisted in the Art of Fashion Foundation International student competition.
In addition to fashion designing, Ng has developed her career in dancing since 2015. She worked on promoting the integration of art, design, fashion, and dance.
In 2017, Ng was invited by the Osage Art Foundation to participate in HK! RUNWAY. This project aimed to present fashion in different ways through an artistic, innovative, and creative process. The group of models dressed up in Yee Ping Ng’s FW2014 womenswear collection and hit the runway. They combined fashion and dancing in the performance to further emphasize the integration of arts.
