| DESIGN NAME: Wonderful Picnic PRIMARY FUNCTION: Picture Book INSPIRATION: This story was inspired by Yuke Li's nephew Wei, who was a very emotional kid, and she was crazy about her favorite doll. Actually, everybody can have a difficult feeling about a small thing, and all one needs is a window to let it go. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Wonderful Picnic is a children's picture book project. Yuke Li explored line during this project. The story is a very emotional story, and she tried to use tight lines, loose lines, organized lines, crazy lines to express different emotions. It is a very different experience to see each line as a single element. Her idea is to create a visual journey for readers, at the same time, to remind readers not to forget the main purpose of the journey or the main purpose of life. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Wonderful Picnic is Yuke Li's first children's picture book. It is a story about little fox Jonny who was heading to a picnic, but on his way to the park he lost his hat, then he chased his hat everywhere. at last, poor Jonny went crazy, He needed help! PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Yuke Li had an idea of WONDERFUL PICNIC in 2017. She then did some organization to put the story together. Also she did some research on style. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Photoshop SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 58x28cm TAGS: children, kid, fox, line, book, illustration RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Yuke Li used Photoshop for this project. First, she did some sketched for the whole story. Then she chose several pages, which were more interesting to push forward. With some research of fox, interior design and plants, Yuke made five pictures into color version. CHALLENGE: The challenge part is how to arrange all different colors.
