I used mostly line for this project. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? YL: I want to use different lines to express the emotion in the story. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? YL: I want to publish this story in the future. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? YL: The idea generate slowly. I had this idea for a year. Then came up with illustrations as a side project. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? YL: I was thinking of doing something different than what I have done. It is a self-exploration. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? YL: I want to finish rest of the pictures. Then publish this story in the future. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? YL: The idea of doing something different than what I have done, and my own understanding of lines. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? YL: Marshall Arisman, the magazine New Yorker and Design Annuals. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? YL: Marshall Arisman is more of an artist than a designer. His works are dark(He has lots of works about death), but very sweet in person.
