| DESIGN NAME: Aks Sconcentrico PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dining Table INSPIRATION: the inspiration comes from the study of the erosion of marble in a natural and artificial way, a perplexing Aks represents the erosion of the washout phenomenon of the rock called Karren, a drop of water turns into a trickle and erodes the rock forming lines and shapes, it also represents going to the mountains, taking a ride in the mountains, perplexing rides that meet in one place, the center, going to the mountains we also leave our signs with walking. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: the aks table is unique in its kind, produced with Carrara statuary marble, made in a single monolithic block of marble, measuring a diameter of 160 cm. Carved using cnc water jet technology, smoothed and treated on the surface with a stain-resistant biological product that makes the surface impervious to stains. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: the use is as a dining or meeting table, conviviality or waiting or group work, it is characterized by these grooves carved in marble, with stainless steel spheres inside, given its shape with a central difference in height of 4 cm with respect to the edge, waiting for a meal or an appointment can be deceived by sliding the marbles in the grooves, playing to those who arrive first at the top of the table. each disconcerting circle intersects giving rise to decorative weaves and giving emotions and game difficulties. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Marble of Carrara quarry Michelangelo quarry, realization with the use of 6-axis cnc technology with water jet and diamond points, design with freehand and cad technology with 3D modeling SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: dimensions 160 cm in diameter height 75 cm. TAGS: tavolo, ristorante, marmomac, carrara, marmo, design, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: inspiration and research has been done on the natural phenomenon of karst erosion called Karren, present in the Dolomites but also on the abrasion or erosion that we do when we climb the rock or go to the mountains to walk, the mountain seems strong to us but instead it is fragile and every time we go up a rock or trample some lawn we change the terrain and consequently the environment. the message of this table wants to bring to the attention of respect for the mountains, making it clear that the mountain is fragile and therefore must be treated with caution and respected, the game represents the relaxation of the moment but also wants to make it clear that respect for nature is not it's a game but a serious thing. CHALLENGE: the challenge was the realization, on a non-linear surface, the table in the center is 8 centimeters high and the sides are 2 centimeters, the Cnc machine had to be programmed with a particular program that follows the course of the difference in height without removing the functionality of the table, the excavations are uneven so that the steel balls can run at the same speed, but some go towards the edge and others go up towards the center, forming an optical illusion of movement and aesthetically pleasing to the eye and touch. The Ska Sconcentrico table was designed for pavilion one, a pavilion dedicated to architecture and marble design, where it was there is the Ristorante d'Autore, a convivial place reserved for exhibitors and buyers present infiera, managed by internationally renowned star chefs. |
