Ascanio Zocchi, the lead designer of the winning design Aks Sconcentrico explains “Table inspired by the natural phenomenon of karst erosion called Karren, present in the Dolomites. The concept of this object, made of precious Carrara statuary marble, represents the beauty and fragility of the mountain. Inside the grooves are placed steel balls that symbolize the flow of water that erodes the marble over time.
