DESIGN NAME: Doboho
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brand Identity
INSPIRATION: The design was developed after long discussions with the creator of the bags, Elene K. It is meant to communicate the vision of Elene K., following her wish for an unconventional and unique, arty logo: a hand that has an inner motion, similar to that of a bird's. Color palette was developed taking into consideration the earthy and friendly character of the new brand and it is felt that is stands out from mass branding projects in the fashion market.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Both name and symbol of this new brand of hand crafted bags communicate its core values and characteristics: free spirited, hand-made, Bohemian and arty, anti-conformist, earthy and casual, friendly and open to women of all ages. The organic, free-flow shape of the hand-drawn symbol, an abstract representation of a hand, builds the identity of a freestyle brand. The proposed name, Doboho, works as an assertive reference to boho fashion as well as a personal statement. I Do Boho!

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: -
CHALLENGE: The challenges, that progressed very smoothly though, were two: in the beginning to find a common ground of communication with the client, who, being the designer of the product, had some prefixed ideas/wishes, that we eventually managed to reason out to the benefit of the project (the name of the brand was a controversial issue). In addition, this was a low-budget project that made us think out of the box in terms of production possibilities, without really compromising the desired brand image.
