DESIGN NAME:
House in SAKAI-5
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Private house
INSPIRATION:
We wanted to create attractive urban landscapes not only by being easy to live but also by design that fully utilized the functions of the site. The characteristic form is determined from the shape of the site and the composition of the interior space. A unique appearance gives an accent to the cityscape.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
It is a small house built on diamond-shaped irregular land. The site is located in Sakai city, Osaka Prefecture. It is a location that is chaotic and not good, mixed with the surrounding environment.
It is a typical urban type housing with many constraints of three floors of a narrow area. Just to live easily, I wanted the cityscape to be attractive with unique design that made use of the features of the site with the power of design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
We successfully utilized an irregular site geometry. Three layers of wooden structures were stacked, and the area was efficiently used.Make the landscape good.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in Osaka, Sakai-City in September 2015 and ended in February 2016.

NRM Architects Office
PROFILE:
Our first-class NRM architect office is a building design office established in 1997 by architect Shunichiro Ninomiya and Tomoko Morodome.
We are based in Osaka, focusing on the design of custom houses, we are working for the whole country. Creating a house with an architect is a house making it impossible to type. I think that there is an ideal "living place" according to each person living in the house. It is the work of an architect to help build houses for those who live there in the position of "design and supervision".
