| DESIGN NAME: Magic stone PRIMARY FUNCTION: Aroma diffuser INSPIRATION: Related to nature, healthy appliances should remind us natural shapes. Following this principle and inspired by oriental stone massages we designed the simplest shape: a sphere. Thinking of natural change of shapes during ages, we thought it as designed by water action, like a stone in a river. Finally we made the side led light with curves that reminds the water waves. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Aroma diffuser with cold steam made by ultrasonic vibrations. Led light color therapy is integrated in the junction line between top and bottom part. Can create a relaxing ambient with color and aroma. One touch capacity button to operate all functions (long press for on off, sequence of 1 press for aroma on and light on, second press for light off, third press for aroma off). OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This product can be operated just with a touch of finger on his surface. Each touch will change light colors or stop onto a specific color, stop or start the steam output, while a long press will turn it completely off or on. When you open the top cover you just need to fill some water and a couple of drops of oil aroma, close and enjoy your relaxing moment. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Started in early 2012 in the Milan office, was finished in October 2013 and presented during 112th Canton fair in China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: injection moulding for all parts. ABS for upper and lower case. PP for inner transparent part. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: dimension 169*124*96 mm TAGS: nature, aroma, diffuser, ultrasonic, steam, led, relax RESEARCH ABSTRACT: research phase took about two months focusing on finding the right natural shape.
