I am so impressed by the artwork of “Horyukaku” - it is truly stunning! The way the artist has been able to capture the emotion and intensity of the moment is remarkable. The illustration conveys a sense of desperation as the hero climbs the roof, while still managing to evoke a sense of hope and courage. It is clear that the artist has put a great deal of thought and effort into capturing the essence of a popular scene in Kabuki. It is also refreshing to see the artist take inspiration from Japanese classical literature, which is often overlooked in favour of more contemporary works. This award-winning work is a testament to the artist's skill and dedication to their craft.
