Interview with Lama, Rama, and Tariq Ajinah at Tuesday 15th of April 2014 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? LA: to highlight tolerance among religions and culture through cinema. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? LA: one week FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? LA: Because the festival of the poster took place in Spain, a country that is rich in culture and diverse religions. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? LA: Because the brief was about cinema and culture, it excited me to design it. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? LA: It was done at Barnbrook studio, so I was guided and inspired by his work. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? LA: It is bilingual ( Arabic + English) and it embraces different religions that exist in Spain. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? LA: illustrator software FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? LA: To adapt the Latin font to Arabic
