Julia Eliseeva, the designer of the award winning furniture design San Vitale says “Creating the concept of the console table, the designer was inspired by the Byzantine architecture drawings. In designer's opinion the buildings plans outlines of that architectural period look extremely contemporary now. The console table design is based on the San Vitale Basilica in Ravenna plan and interior. Shape and volume are determined by the plan, while the colours and choice of materials are associated with the interior decoration of the Basilica.
