Laura Marianera, the designer of the award winning work Occhiataccia says “Malocchio literally means “an eye throwing evil” and it’s an ancestral popular tradition widespread in different cultural areas. Occhiataccia is a tool kit to drive away bad luck and it is composed by five white and simple elements, only characterized by graphic signs that guide the user. The packaging is also part of this project, based on the “bla bla bla” texture, representing the sound produced by scandalmongering people. In the box, an equation-looking illustration explains how to perform the talismanic ritual.
