This modular book is a typographical redesign of Goethes Faust amid the change of reading behavior in the digital age. The approach has been to visualize different reading methods in the process of time and bringing them all together in one literary work, without changing the wording or adding images, with the aim to facilitate the access to its content. Knowing that most information is retrieved in a quick way nowadays, in the form of emails or WhatsApp messages, the question arises if the change of this reading behavior might be a blessing or a curse for the mankind’s intellectual evolution.
Tatjana Medvedev is a communication designer from Almaty, Kazakhstan – working and living in Munich. Her biggest ambition is to make the world a better place – by design, attitude and mindset. After her bachelor studies in Mediadesign, she has been working as a designer for middle-sized design agencies by helping other organizations grow. In her free time she loves to go on adventures in the Bavarian alps, taking lots of photographs, and making things with her hands. Currently working at LIKE A CAPTAIN in Munich she accompanies a wide range of clients with focus on corporate identity and design. She is also working as a freelancer in spare time by helping other ideas become visual.
Tatjana Medvedev is a graphic designer working and living in Munich. After her Mediadesign graduation (B.A.) in 2015 she worked for some small sized design agencies as a Junior Art Director and Designer by supporting the teams in fields like visual communication, editorial design and corporate design. Since 2016 she is also working on small projects as a freelancer in spare time. In 2017 together with the team at Elevate Identity she won the German Brand Award and the Corporate Design Preis. Currently working at LIKE A CAPTAIN Tatjana is supporting the team in visualizing corporate identities for diverse clients in fields like finance, technology, manufacturing, non-profit and real estate with focus on brand identity & experience. The love for printed books is accompanying her the whole life.
