Cartouche Dress Form

Ancient Egypt was one of the nations that created perfumes, clothes design, oils, and other beauty treatments. Indeed, the Egyptians placed a very emphasis on their physical appearance. Dress form design was inspired by a cartouche which is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic nameplate, shaped like an oval with a horizontal bar at the base of the oval and a king's nickname written inside of the oval. The oval surrounding their nickname was meant to protect them from evil spirits in life and after death. The cartouche has become a symbol representing luck and protection from evil.
