The design brief for the project was to create a lamp that could be made with simple manufacturing processes, create as least waste as possible, be shipped flat, and be easily put together by the end user. Octo is inspired by the octagonal shape, there are 8 pieces that connect to the lamp structure and create the shade of the lamp. The material of the structure is aluminium and the shade pieces can be made of industrial felt or leather, this combination of materials create a contrast between soft and hard textures, creating a design that offers a modern and comfortable lighting solution.
I'm a creative person who is passionate about design. I believe that design is a service to the community, and our goal as designers is to identify problems and find creative solutions. I’m interested in working making innovative designs that help transform the way society sees design. I believe in hard work, the importance of research, and in find- ing several design solutions to eventually crate a well designed product.
