Architype New York is a series of black and white typographic illustrations of the buildings in New York City and the surrounding burrows. The pieces are an exploration representing historic architectural form in hand lettered type influenced by the time period of the building's construction. The text of each piece describes the history and architectural significance of the form depicted. While some of the depictions reflect the structure's most iconic views as perceived by those that live near by, others capture the graphic approach of an architectural blueprint.
