Volcano Eyes Observation Platform

This project is an entry for the competition called Nemrut Volcano Eyes. The team designed a platform, revealing a 360 degree panoramic view to the Nemrut Volcano's caldera. From this site anybody able to get a perfect view to one of the largest crater lake in the world. The platform is intended to link between man and nature in a natural and harmonious way. The shape of the crescend is mirroring the traditional symbol of Turkey. Using the surrounding natural materials, stone and steel, is highlited the very importance of protecting the environement.

Jaskó+Vági Architecture company is a Győr (HU)-based office focused on sustainability and development of the built environment and architecture. The young oraganisation founded by Péter Vági and László Jaskó. The office’s projects range from small pavilions and single-family living to large multi-family living to large industrial and public development. At Jaskó+Vági, a contemporary building uses everything that can be used from the past and the present, with conscious care for fitting into its own habitat and using every aspect of that for its operation.
