“True Love” is a series of illustration to present the concept of love. The concept is inspirited by observation, an old couple holding hands. It is a simple way to express the love that Chinese couples usually tend not to show verbal affection. In Chinese philosophy, “yin and yang” describes two seemingly opposite or contrary forces may be interconnected, interdependent and complementary. It is what the series want to express about love. The illustrations used black and white colors represent complementary, balance and harmony of love and how two opposites make one whole.
