We eat every day. But when was the last time you ask: What is food? We as a consumer, seldom explore and consider the so-called food that we are eating. When it comes to the truth of food, media tends to highlight the bloody and disgusting scenes of slaughtering the animal in order to gain a deterrent effect, however, it is hard for the audiences to accept and the effect is temporary. With this situation, Foorigin uses a causal yet indirect method to raise people's awareness via a set of challenging perception poster and publications which depict the food productions of different species.
Lam Cheuk Yin, who is a communication designer graduated from the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. As a young designer, he deeply believes that design could make life better from micro to macro scales, especially as a communication designer, it is essential to deliver a message to the audiences by the right tools. It is not only talking about visual anymore but also digging into how to convey a single-minded, clear and impressive message through design. With my ambition, I would like to acquire more knowledge in art, design and culture aspects in order to create more communicative works.
