The design was inspired by a phrase; people have built too many walls but not enough bridges. At the entrance, visitors may recognize a white bridge and staircases in an opening void. All shop contents such as bakery, lounge, coffee bar, and restaurant, are located to surround those bridge and staircases. Not dividing the areas into smaller, but Kamio provided a big open space through the 1st & 2nd floors. He expected that the spontaneous communications may occur between the customers by facing to each other in the sharing space. He says that this is a place to connect and to share.

The gastronomic experience of Le Pont is centred around the trio of pastries & breads, the cafe and speciality coffee. Each offers a standalone modern contemporary cuisine experience which can also be experienced in unison.
