Divide is a convertible light fixture. It is made up of the following main parts: two pots, LED lights and a pantograph ceiling system. The height of the product is adjustable as seen in picture 2 and picture 3. Divide can be used in several ways by adjusting the two pots. They can be joined together or divided. The operation is effortless and enables creating different kinds of atmospheres. As a highlight there is a bright colored fluorescent acrylic sheet that reflects the LED light inside.
Ari Korolainen is a Finnish architect and designer who was one of the first designers who used recycled materials in his designs. 1985 he started to make cases and stationery products of recycled cardboard. Today he also uses recycled leather commonly in his designs. Good design and environmentally friendly materials can be seen in his Private Case stationery collection. Now, 30 years later, Private Case is a large collection of stationery products and Korolainen is known as Mr Private Case. Furniture design is his another ambition.
Ari Korolainen founded company called Adessin 1990. Ari designes products to Adessin. One of the customer is Finnish Opera House. Adessin delivered to them chairs, armchairs and tables made of metal and plywood. Ari has designed to Adessin a hudge lighting products, which are suitable for domestic and public use. One of the latest products is an armchaird with a light.
