Kyoto Tourist Information Center is a new facility inside Kyoto station, the entrance to Kyoto. JA laboratory aimed to put all sorts of information in order and dispatch necessary and understandable information to the user whereas tourist information center tends to be overflowed. To avoid the place to look inorganic they tried to express modern and functional facility with hidden Japanese designs. The design does not merely mean the form but it means the space and its balance.

JA Laboratory is a design office owned by Junichiro Azuma. The company is based in Osaka and handles various space designs including interior design for stores and all type of commercial facilities.
