Motorix is a typeface of alternatives. A versatile and highly flavorful constructivist design in three weights with corresponding italics, and hundreds of variant forms. Motorix’ interchangeable letterforms yield a multitude of combinations that elicit electronic rhythms and at times take on humanistic forms. The name Motorix is a pseudo-feminized variant (the ‘-ix’ suffix being derived from ‘-trix’) of the German word ‘motorik’, which refers to both electronic music and human motor skills.

I am a graphic designer, type designer, and educator. I enjoy designing design pieces and typography for sport, as I am an athlete and am interested in how type and design impacts how you see an athlete and how athletes interact with their environment. I enjoy sharing my design and type knowledge with students, and to get them inspired to do great design and be a part of the future of graphic design, in all its applications. I hope to make the world a better place by creating clear, concise design and type that communicates clearly to everyone, with a fun, witty result.
