Magdalena Huber Pikpak Drink packaging designed for Festivals
Pikpak Drink packaging designed for Festivals is Iron Design Award winner in 2017 - 2018 Packaging Design Award Category.
Pikpak Drink packaging designed for Festivals

Pikpak is a unique packaging design for festival attendants. The simple idea of a tetra pack rucksack that is reclosable, recyclable and wearable solves a lot of problems: No drugs in drinks as people don’t have to put it aside at any time and no downing drinks at the bar to have hands free when pushing through the festival crowd. The unisex design fits with all festival outfits and is the perfect festival companion.

I'm an Austrian graphic designer, lettering artist and illustrator. My heart beats for analogue design processes, wall letterings and typography. Some of my projects got recognized and received international Design Awards such as the first place of The Dieline Packaging Design Awards. Furthermore, I‘m one of the winners of the Red Dot: Junior Award for Communication Design, as well as the HOW International Design Awards and I,‘ve been nominated for JDORAW. In 2017 one of my projects was exhibited at HOW Design Live in Chicago; another one got featured on Stefan Sagmeister‘s Instagram page. My work was mentioned several times in print design publications such as Page Magazin, Design Report, and Austrian newspapers as well as online publications like Dezeen, FGUK Magazine, World Packaging Design Society, and many more. Collaborations with other designers and working for international brands including Red Bull Media House, Runtastic, and Raiffeisen as well as hosting lettering and calligraphy workshops have been some of my highlights. I‘ve been five years in HTL1 for Graphic and Design in Linz and did the one-year Meisterklasse in 2011 before I worked as a graphic designer for three years in Salzburg. Then, I did my Masters Degree in Communication Design / Graphic Design at Kingston University, London and worked at JDO design studio London for several months. After that, I went back to Austria to launch my own Graphic Design studio Magdalena Huber Design.
