Luxun Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1938, was founded in Yanan, Shanxi Lu Xun Art Institute, in 1938 by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other older generation leaders personally initiated the creation. In 1945, the College moved to the northeast and developed into Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1958.
