The folding chair adopts tilting on chairs as the design principle, the user is actively involved in sitting on it. The two necessary legs of the chair are transformed into two thin panels with their bottom edges touching on the floor as a skid. They are wrapped with a band of fabric, that connects the top edges of the panels to a flexible seat, that automatically nestles to the back contour of the user. This design grants an active and most flexible sitting position, a reduction of its construction and required materials. Not being used it can be collapsed to a thickness of less than 20 mm.

TpunktR can best be described by its aim: designing means developing and altering things we know or use. But it also means creating things we do not know or use. From both perspectives the initial spark to do so is the will of grasping the world and the things that surround us not as finished or determined by trends, but more as a state, that alters continuously. Hence the main aim of TpunktR is innovation, increasing the amount of choices apart from the known.

The design of tpunktr aims on innovation and simplicity. Design is more than just adding color to something that already exists! Design should inspire, design should question the world we live in and how we use products. Design is the tool to form and determine the future and not just a technique to create hip products for a hip community.
