The Ficedula Parva collection is inspired by the colour palette of the Red-breasted Flycatcher. It is made of organic cotton, organic linen and recycled yarn. The textile print is handmade by the designer. By choosing materials that are produced in a way that is gentle to nature, by using high quality materials that last longer, and by creating classic designs that can be used for more than one season, the Ficedula Parva collection has its place in HEKNEs greater design concept where every collection carries the colours of one selected bird.

Anja Hekne is the designer behind HEKNE, a Norwegian fashion design company belonging to the slow fashion movement. She founded the company together with Siglinde Lunde in 2013. Anja currently lives in Barcelona, Spain, but in her designs you can clearly see her Scandinavian heritage and the love for nature that she brings with her from growing up in Norway.

HEKNE creates slow fashion, inspired by nature. The brand's first collection was launched for autumn/winter 2016. The Ficedula Parva collection is their second collection, to be released spring/summer 2017. HEKNE was established in 2013, by Siglinde Lunde and Anja Hekne. Siglinde has a background in sales, marketing and PR with a masters degree from BI Norwegian Business School. She is based in Oslo, Norway. Anja has a bachelor degree in fashion design from Ravensbourne College in London and marketing studies from CPHbusiness in Copenhagen. She currently lives in Barcelona, Spain.
