Loom Loop Androgynous - Butterfly Lovers Womenswear Collection
Androgynous - Butterfly Lovers Womenswear Collection is Silver Design Award winner in 2016 - 2017 Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design Award Category.
Androgynous - Butterfly Lovers Womenswear Collection

This collection, Loom Loop tried to integrate the core feminine look combined with the tailoring structure. It features strongly on prints inspired by the story. The colour palette is a juxtaposition of this legend story with burgundy and dark forest colour. The butterfly motif provides a focus on prints; Loom Loop favours both the all in one look in the same print and the mixing of the prints.

Designer Polly Ho launched her own brand Loom Loop in 2013 with her partner, prior to that Polly had a well established career as a fashion designer and consultant, she worked for many international high street  brands and advised many Chinese clients.  Early on in her career she worked for Misa Harada millinery in London, an experience that had a strong influence on her still today.   She is a real advocate in the slow fashion movement, heritage, sustainability and east meets west are the ingredients that underpin the brand. Her first collection was launched in 2014 in PMQ, by her second collection she was scouted by the global CEO of the South Beach hotel in Singapore built by Norman Foster and designed by Philippe Starck, this golden opportunity landed her a sizable corporate project and put her brand beyond Hong Kong. Since then, she has gone on to win SME’s Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2015, Design for Asia Award 2015 — Category Award (Bronze), Perspective 40 under 40 Award for Fashion Design 2016, and RITAHK award for Retailer of the Year for Small Business 2016. In October 2015, she participated the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo with a catwalk show; and in February 2016, she presented another catwalk show at the official New York Fashion Week, both organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.  She graduated with a BA from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004 and studied at the University of Central England.
