Alexandre Jose Goncalves Neto Synchro Folding bike
Synchro Folding bike is Bronze Design Award winner in 2016 - 2017 Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design Award Category.
Synchro Folding bike

The Synchro folding bike is similar in size to a regular mountain bike (wheels of 26 inches), and its ergonomics and driveability are compatible with the fixed models. But when articulated, it becomes extremely compact, and can be carried in a backpack or large suitcase, or else driven through the handlebar, like a cart. It uses a smaller volume of materials compared to the models available in the market, with only a one tube in the handlebar and a single point of attachment in the rear wheel, and that along with the use of light materials, contributes much for the low weight of the bicycle.

My ambition is to be a modern inventor; Create concepts and not just changing the form of existing ideas. Make design in its essence, seeking solutions that in some way contribute to improve the interaction between people and the environment. The challenge is great, but the close observation of society provides many of the answers I seek, and this is highly rewarding.

Inovideia Design

A Inovideia Design was created in early 2016 and is a division of the company PPPV Design, which has existed since 1993. The previous studio was focused on meeting the demands of its portfolio clients, seeking design solutions that were appropriate to a particular request or problem presented by this client. In the case of Inovideia, its profile is different from that, and the products created by the company are not designed through the specific order of a customer, but are elaborated by observing carefully the needs of the consumer market, the new technologies and social tendencies The process, then, is the reverse of what happened in the previous studio, and the designs developed by Inovideia are first identified, defined and created, and later sold to a specific industry, company or institution. At this point, there may be modifications, changes or adaptations, and the cooperation and synergy between the design office and the manufacturer is critical. This way of working allows for greater creative and conceptual freedom, and the results are invariably more adequate to the demands of the consumer market, privileging the individual and his needs.
