Enfold is a transformable smart textile incorporated clothing that can be automatically worn by folding and changing the details using origami and shape memory alloy (SMA). This wearable medium is to assist those who have trouble dressing by allowing the garment to wrap around and fit the wearer without outside help. The SMA remembers its original shape and after the alloy is bent, it goes back to the original shape when it is heated. By employing SMA in the folds of fabric, the fabric can be as transformable.

Fashion Design and Technology Lab (FT Lab) pursues designs based on research by connecting new technologies to improve the quality of life and wellness. FT Lab is also an incubator for young creative designers and researchers.
