The design is inspired by the translucency and fluidity of watercolour. Water is the main element to bring out the colours in watercolouring technique while for Essence Mask, the essence lies in keeping the skin hydrated and replenished. Brushstrokes of vivid colours were used in the design represents an everyday glamour that one will achieve after using the product. The use of pastel colours helps in giving the product a feminine, soft and attractive identity while keeping the design simple and elegant.

Koren is a register architect and a member of the HKIA. She is a passionate designer with work spans across architecture, interior design, masterplanning, art and digital media. Recently, she worked with a number of listed companies in sculpture art & branding design. In 2014, Koren won the Grand Prize in the MTR Tiara Sculpture Competition which opens up her journey in the art field. She is now focusing on creating a new perspective for Art & Architecture through her skillset and material sensitivity as an architect. Koren obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honors and a master degree from Cornell University where her graduate thesis won the Best M. Arch Thesis Award. She was the recipient of the Eschweiler Prize, as well as a number of scholarships at Cornell. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, she went through robust training in renowned international offices such as Zaha Hadid Architects and Kengo Kuma & Associates.

Koren Sin Studio is a multi-disciplinary creative studio with work spans across architecture, interior, multi-media and sculpture art. The studio specializes in parametric design and digital fabrication and has won international awards including Grand Prize at MTR Tiara Sculpture Competition, Finalist at Lantern Wonderland Design Competition, and Merit Award at Shinkenchiku Competition. Recently Koren Sin Studio collaborates with Kirin Lab and has completed a sculpture for a listing ceremony at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Their work was being exhibited and published internationally at Hong Kong Week in Taiwan, CELEBRATE!2015 by RIBA, EVOLO SKYSCARPERS publication, Reveal by HKIA at Artistree.
