Sardonna Hin Ting Tsui Coral Extinction Ring
Coral Extinction Ring is Iron Design Award winner in 2014 - 2015 3D Printed Forms and Products Design Award Category.
Coral Extinction Ring

Coral is found underwater and not many people get an opportunity to explore their beauty. These three wearable rings attempts to bring coral’s intricate form and colours, as well as its importance to the attention of the society. The design is an abstract representation of coral’s deterioration. There are three stages in this series; the first stage displays a healthy and prosperous well-being of coral reef. In the second stage, the coral begins to die and it shows half its skeleton and half its polyps. Finally, the third stage shows the inside skeleton of coral, representing its death.
