Prism is a table that tells a story. No matter what angle you look at this table from it will show you something new. Like a prism refracting light - this table takes lines of colour, emerging from a single bar and transforms them across its frame. By weaving and twisting its linear geometry this table transforms from point to point. The maze of mixing colours creates surfaces that meld together to form a whole. Prism has a minimalism in its form and function, however combined with a complex geometry within it, it reveals something unexpected and hopefully somewhat incomprehensible.

Maurie Novak is an architect and designer based in Melbourne Australia. Maurie tenaciously tries to amass skills in as many crafts and art forms as possible so as to best enrich his designs. Forming his own company, MN Design, has given Maurie the freedom to push the boundaries of his imagination and what can be built aiming to produce architecture, furniture and other design pieces of the highest quality.
