The intervention of humankind through large scale industries, and housing expansion, increased the consumption of fossil fuels costly energy and created a catastrophic global warming effect with high impact on environment. This single family home address the effectiveness of a sustainable dwelling to be built in Jericho, Palestine as a response to the challenge of the expensive use of electricity generated from fossil fuels, inserting a new architectural vision into the ecological balance of a locality.

Hani Hassan Architects is an architectural firm founded in Bogota Colombia in 1985 and established in Ramallah, Palestine in 1997 by Hani Hassan, a passionate and committed architect who leads a group of talented architects and engineers, and has emerged as a major player in the Palestinian architecture scene, considered today one of the best architects in his country with extensive experience acquired through many years of operation. Hani Hassan decided to designed this house to be built on his own land located in Jericho , Jordan valley , palestine, Implementing bioclimatic strategies in his design to achieve the maximum comfort and energy savings possible. As an architect with concerns on global warming , his research conducted him to develop this design as part of long term total shading architecture design planing that will push his work in future project to unlimited creativity especially in desert regions. He call it the future architecture.
