The UEFA Champions League is the top football club competition in the world, and each year the Final of the event takes place in a different city. In 2012 it was held in Munich. Designwerk were commissioned to create and produce a Fan Park and Festival Museum in the beautiful grounds of the Olympiapark. The Champions Festival is a unique opportunity for fans to take part in football related activities and learn about different aspects of the game, plus create an atmosphere of expectation in advance of the Final, which in 2012 was between top European clubs Chelsea and Bayern Munich

UEFA is the Union of European Football Associations, and represents 53 national football associations of Europe, runs national and club competitions, and controls the prize money, regulations and media rights to those competitions. One of their events, the UEFA Champions League, is the top club football competition in the world. They also run the European Championships for national teams every four years, and the annual UEFA Europa League, besides numerous other events. UEFA are also in the forefront of developing women\'s football, youth football and grassroots football throughout Europe.
