Babyfirst Brand Identity, Branding Strategies

a JV between foreign and chinese entities retailing high-end imported baby care products for the mainland chinese market. the design seamlessly combines western and chinese, contemporary and traditional, culturally and socially relevant elements. it is a chinese tradition to swaddle new borns in red cloth or clothes to confer good luck on the baby (red is the colour of good fortune). the pacifier is recognizably western. this design communicates an aspiration towards modernity while respecting traditions. we also capture how children are treasured given the 'one-child' policy in china.
