While traditional chairs are usually fixed, Oyoga uses a swivel joint structure that allows it to change shape depending on the number of people or usage scenarios, from a three person seat to a four person, five person, or six person seat, providing users with more flexibility. Oyoga introduces the design element of a yoga ball for added wellness functionality. Users can sit down to do some light exercise and due to its softness, it can be easily removed when it needs to be replaced.
In April 2022, the EDNA Joint Institute, affiliated with the China Academy of Art, was officially approved by the Ministry of Education, holding license number MOE33FRA01DNR20222291N. This marks the first non-independent legal entity established by the China Academy of Art to operate a Chinese-foreign cooperative school. It aims to build a talent training base to serve the future development of society, a discipline construction highland to lead the international innovation and design trend, a research and creation service position to promote international industry-university-research co-operation, and to become a new benchmark for the co-operation between Chinese and French colleges and universities. With the characteristics of ‘internationalisation, interdisciplinarity, industry-academia-research’, China Academy of Art Nantes Joint School of Design aims to cultivate future-oriented international design talents with the ability of cross-cultural, cross-disciplinarity, and cross-industry collaboration.
