Born in Tokyo in 1979. Graduated from Keio University Graduate School. Joined NTT Docomo Inc. in 2005. For the next 10 years, led projects for location services, voice recognition, and GPS functions for mobile phones and smartphones. "Imadoko Search" and "Shabette Concierge" were huge hits. In 2015, he was seconded to DOCOMO Innovations, Inc. in Silicon Valley, USA. He discovered numerous AI-related startup businesses and successfully collaborated with and invested in NTT Docomo headquarters. After returning to Japan in 2017, he founded SCENTMATIC Inc. He developed "KAORIUM," an AI-based scent language.
Scentmatic was founded in 2019 as a co-creation business design group that uses an AI system to verbalize scents to add "emotional experience value" to anything. Scentmatic is working on the "digitalization of the sense of smell." It is about evolving people's sensibilities through the "aroma experience" of scent and words, bringing innovation to businesses in all industries.
