Half a Century of Building Storeys was published for NEUF’s 50th anniversary to retrace the evolution of the organization in parallel with the development of Montreal's built landscape. The book is both singular and multitudinous, united like the firm’s great family of colleagues and diverse like its areas of expertise. The challenge was to express this duality within an original publication that had to be distinct from a corporate portfolio. The solution lies in dividing projects and anecdotes into 23 articles, each of which presents a specific format, tone, and graphical treatment.
Annabelle Beauchamp, Design and Brand Director, has been shaping NEUF's communications since 2005. After contributing to the successful delivery of the CHUM submission, she helped create the signage for the Montreal offices (Grands Prix du Design and Grafika) and is currently leading the firm’s 50th-anniversary campaign.
Founded in 1971 under the name Desmarais Tornay, NEUF architect(e)s has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse architecture and design firms in Canada. With offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, the firm is built on strong relationships that prioritize the success of its clients and 250 employees. Its expertise in over nine practice sectors has led to the successful completion of more than 7,500 projects.
