Located in the city of Sao Josee dos Campos in Sao Paulo with 1400 m2 of built-up area and 2400 m2 of land area, a wide program was designed and implemented to house a young couple with two kids. Casa Jabuticaba was organized into a two story volume with horizontal proportions. The house combines the contemporary use of metal, stone, glass, and slatted wood panels used around the upper volume of the building with the purpose of sheltering the intimate areas, such as the bedrooms, from direct sunlight.
