It is an innovative design that utilizes reflected light inside the oval-shaped frame, creating a soft and beautiful light from any angle. The refined aluminum body is finished by superior craftsmanship. The diffuser uses an international patent pending technology utilizing capillary action.

SOL style was founded in 2009 by Yutaka Ito (born in Matsuyama City, Ehime) and Yoshimi Tsurugi (born in Yokohama in 1982). The studio is active in a wide range of areas, including store design, graphics, housing, condominiums, product development, exhibition planning, and venue design. Member of the selection committee for the Tokyo Handicrafts project to promote product development and dissemination of traditional crafts, a judge for architecture and interior competitions. The members have given various lectures both overseas and in Japan, and has been active in a variety of fields beyond the framework of interior design. They have been involved in creative direction and venue design for pavilions in countries around the world from Russia, Germany, India, Thailand, and Belgium for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).
